Hot Springs

This is long overdue, but here are some photos of our trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas during the holidays:

The Promenade along Bathhouse Row in historic Hot Springs.

Anybody can bring their water jugs to fill from these faucets along the street near the Promenade.  The water is pretty amazing- absolutely no flavor, crystal clear and crisp to drink.

We toured one of the old bathhouses that has been kept open as a museum by the Park Service.  A few days later, we took a soak at one of the still-operating baths (although didn't get to use any of the cool contraptions like this one).

Josh and I went digging for diamonds at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, AR.  We didn't find any diamonds, but we had a good time trying.

... and I got really dirty.

Artifacts on display at a local BBQ smokehouse.

Look how stylish this kid is!
